Adobe Flex Group

The Adobe Flex Group is an initiative from the ACM Chapter sponsored by Adobe and aimed to enhance students’ skills and knowledge with Rich Internet Applications (aka RIA). This initiative is leaded by an official representative student from Adobe who is known as Adobe Student Representative for Rich Internet Application. Nothing is better than gathering people who are passionate and enthusiasm about web technologies and Flex in particular.

What can you do with the group?

  1. Launch Adobe Flex events and gatherings.
  2. Talk about Flex and The Flash Platform and exchange knowledge.
  3. Attend tutorials and seminars about RIA, Flex and The Flash Platform.
  4. Become familiar with latest trends from the Flash community.
  5. Get in touch with Flashiers.
  6. Build skills for careers in the IT field.
  7. Be part of the ACM techie community.
  8. And most of all, get the free version of Adobe Flex 3 which worth $700.

How to get started?

  1. Register as an ACM chapter member.
  2. Get the free version of Adobe Flex 3 only for students. Steps to get it explained here.
  3. Check out when the next event about Flex and RIA is coming.
  4. Learn about Adobe Flex. We have a list of great learning resources.
  5. Last but not least, come to our office and introduce yourself.
